Sanctions
Sanctions are an instrument used to influence undesirable behaviour and are an integral part of Norway’s foreign and security policy. Norway is obligated under international law to implement sanctions adopted by the United Nations Security Council. In addition, Norway implements most of the restrictive measures adopted by the European Union.
Sanctions impose restrictions on the actions, rights, or freedoms of specific states, groups, individuals, or companies. These measures may include arms embargoes, travel bans, import or export restrictions, and the freezing of financial assets or funds.
In Norway, compliance with the sanctions regulations is mandatory for everyone.
Applications for exemptions or waivers under these regulations must be submitted in writing via email to post@deksa.no. For further details, please visit the Contact page.
Please note that DEKSA is subject to strict confidentiality requirements under § 8 of the Sanctions Act, which includes enhanced protections for business-related information.
